Quelque chose de moi

The title sounds intriguing right? I do not like the conventional About me so trying to be different. Here I am – Manish Kamdar, proud father of Kavya (And this is the title I sport on my business card too:-). My blog is all about fun and humour and also about my dearest princess, Kavya. Kavya is the best thing ever happened in life to my wife, Pauravi and me. Also this blog will have some events about Rincon India Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Team Rincon, a team I am extremely proud of. On this blog you will find more of day to day events and interesting things I have seen in life or am currently enjoying, my thoughts, my musings.

I am an Electrical Engineer academically from good old VJTI in Matunga (but I admit I can’t change a light bulb). I have been born, brought up and educated in Matunga, Mumbai so you will find a lot of Matunga influences on the blog including the famed south Indian food.

On the topic of food, I love food and love to try different cuisines. I relish chicken much to my wife’s discomfort but old habits die hard.

I am a budding Toastmaster and a member of Bombay Toastmasters Club. This has rekindled my fetish for perfection in the English language (and it has to be the Queen’s English only so the Americans can go take a walk) so you will see a lot of pictures of misspelt words or bad usage of the language. No! I don’t expect everyone to be perfect but near perfection is a necessity 🙂

I am into cycling though more for fun than for exercise. Enjoy riding on two wheels.

I love music and am a big fan of Kishore Kumar and R D Burman when it comes to Hindi music and am a part of Pancham Paagals, a group devoted to R D Burman. On the western front, I love the music of the 80’s especially the likes of Bryan Adams, Richard Marx, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard etc.

I am influenced by the likes of Robin Sharma, Zig Ziglar, Krish Dhanam, Brian Tracy amongst others.

Feel free to leave comments.

Would you believe it, Hetal was seated next to me on my return flight from UK. We were both amazed to discover you as the common link. She remembers her days at Rincon very fondly.
